Life Safety Systems Upgrade
Franklin Hospital – North Shore LIJ Health System / Valley Stream, NY

 

Project consisted of the upgrading of the existing fire service and the installation of new sprinklers throughout the entire facility.

Project included a new fire pump installation, elevator recalls, and pre-action system.

The inherent complexity of the project was intensified by requiring working in often occupied areas including psychiatry and inpatient units.

Axis was responsible for overall project management including filing and inspections with the Nassau County Fire Marshall, as well as coordination with Hospital Administration, Departmental Heads, Nurse Managers and Engineering to allow the multi-phased project to proceed with minimal disruptions to the facility.
