Fire Sprinkler Upgrades
Long Island Univeristy – CW Post Campus/ Brookville, NY

Project consisted of the upgrading and installation of new fire sprinkler system into two existing residence halls at the CW Post Campus.

Project included the separation of the fire water service from the existing potable water system. Work included excavation, fire water main tapping and extension, installation of new, exterior Reduced Pressure Double Check Valve Assemblies (RPDA's) with service to existing residence halls. New sprinkler system was installed throughout both residence halls including 3 floors and attic spaces. Buildings were fitted with both wet and dry sprinkler systems.

All work was coordinated and approved by local water authority and the Nassau County Fire Marshall.

Work commenced during summer break with completion prior to fall occupancy.
